It is sweet and smoky with just the right amount of heat. The chipotle pepper is a smoked, dried jalapeño pepper. When jalapeño peppers are a deep red and have lost much of their moisture, they are selected to be made into chipotles. They’re moved to a smoking chamber and are wood smoked for several days. Chipotle Peppers are more known for their smokiness than being hot, and this oil reflects that flavor superbly.
